ABOUT
Thank you for visiting Suzy. Turquoise.
From our workshop in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, we handcraft and deliver one-of-a-kind jewelry, working with turquoise and precious metals.
The turquoise we use is carefully selected from various sources, including Arizona and Sleeping Beauty mines. We don't rely on CAD (digital design); instead, we combine traditional engraving, forging, and casting techniques to create each piece by hand.
We hope you enjoy the unique texture of handmade craftsmanship, unlike mass-produced items, and the distinct beauty of each turquoise stone.
【About Turquoise Origin and Details】
Product pages describe stone names, characteristics, and origin information only to the extent supported by the information available to us.
Where the origin or mine cannot be verified, we do not present it as confirmed.
We also share stories about our craftsmanship and individual pieces on Instagram (@suzy.turquoise).
【About Our Products and Works】
All of our pieces are one-of-a-kind.
We offer collections like the "N Series" and "R Series (Robo-kun)," where each piece has a different charm created by the combination of faces, limbs, poses, and the unique expression of the stone.
【The Story Behind Our Serial Numbers (Engravings)】
Some pieces in the "N Series" and "R Series (Robo-kun)" are engraved with serial numbers.
When we were numbering piece 72, a respected senior craftsman passed away. I received his cherished engraving tool as a memento, and out of gratitude and respect, I began using it for my own work starting from piece 73.
These continuously engraved numbers (currently in the 080s), carrying the spirit of my senior craftsman, are proof that each piece is a unique "one-of-a-kind" item, just for you, with no two being exactly alike.
*Please note that some pieces intentionally do not have engravings to maximize the beauty of their design and materials. Regardless of whether a piece is engraved or not, all works are carefully crafted as one-of-a-kind items, infused with craftsmanship and soul.
【Craftsman Suzy's Journey: 30 Years of Passion and Skill】
For 30 years, I have passed on my cultivated skills, continually giving form to what others cherish.
My life as a craftsman has always been dedicated to "authentic craftsmanship."
【10 Years of Refining Skills in Top-Tier Environments】
I spent over 10 years in the production department of a jewelry salon at a prestigious department store in Shinjuku. I was involved in the reform and repair of high jewelry, where even a slight error was unacceptable. Melting gold and platinum, reconnecting memories – the sense of responsibility to "perform perfectly" that was instilled in me in that demanding environment still resides in my fingertips today.
【4 Years in Yoyogi: Shop and Metal Engraving Class】
Seven years ago, I opened my own shop and metal engraving class in Yoyogi. For four years as an owner-craftsman, I meticulously handled made-to-order pieces using gold and platinum, as well as complex reforms and repairs. In the classroom, I passed on my skills to many students. Teaching also meant refining my own skills more precisely than anyone else.
【10 Years as an Active School Instructor】
I continue to teach "lifelong skills" to the next generation as an active instructor at a vocational school. As someone responsible for conveying correct knowledge and skills, I cannot tolerate any compromises in my own work.
【And Now, to the Ikebukuro Workshop】
Having mastered all kinds of precious metals, techniques, and working environments, what I'm currently passionately engrossed in is "one-of-a-kind turquoise jewelry."
I don't spare any effort, hammering the metal, listening to the voice of the stone.
From my workshop in Ikebukuro, I deliver "crystallized soul" that embodies my entire 30-year career.
